Terms and Conditions of Traveling with Moroccan Expeditions Travel

Prior to booking a trip with Moroccan Expeditions, we kindly request that you carefully read and thoroughly review the following terms and conditions. By proceeding with booking and payment, you are deemed to have fully accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions. Upon completion of the booking deposit payment online, you will receive a booking confirmation and receipt. Final payments are required no later than 60 days prior to your arrival in Morocco, or sooner for last-minute reservations. In case you book within 30 days of your tour start date, the initial deposit is due first, followed by the final payment soon after. Please note that Moroccan Expeditions Travel, LLC does not arrange airfare within or outside of Morocco. All tour quotes are exclusive of airfare and only cover land services within the country.

All information provided on our website is true and accurate to the best of our knowledge. The terms “traveler,” “travelers,” or “you” refer to individuals traveling with Moroccan Expeditions Travel, LLC ,” “we,” or “us” pertain to Moroccan Expeditions Travel, LLC and Moroccan Expeditions SARL. These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement and understanding for the travelers, superseding any other prior agreements or understandings. By booking with us, you acknowledge and accept all terms and conditions outlined in this agreement, as well as our Release and Waiver of Liability and Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement. Travel Insurance

At Moroccan Expeditions Travel, we strongly advise all travelers to acquire comprehensive travel insurance that includes coverage for medical emergencies, evacuation, loss of personal belongings, repatriation, trip cancellation and interruption, as well as any other potential expenses arising from loss, damage, injury, delay, or inconvenience during your journey. It is your responsibility to bear all costs associated with medical care and transportation provided to you and any accompanying minors throughout the trip. Please note that Moroccan Expeditions Travel assumes no liability for covering any individual’s medical expenses or facilitating departure from a country under any circumstances.

Cancellation Policy and Refunds:

To cancel a tour, travelers must inform Moroccan Expeditions Travel in writing as soon as possible. Partners should refer to our Destination Management Company page for more information. Please send a typed statement with the date, name, and signature to our email address. We consider a cancellation received on the working business day it arrives at our office. Cancellation terms are as follows:

  • 61 days or more prior to the in-country start date: all initial deposits are non-refundable.
  • 46-60 days prior to the in-country start date: initial deposits and 50% of final payments made are non-refundable.
  • 45 days or less prior to the in-country start date: 100% of the tour cost is non-refundable.

Please note that initial deposits are not included in any reimbursement payments. If you have paid in full and cancel before the 61-day mark, you may be eligible for a refund of up to 100% of the final payment amount (minus any non-refundable hotel deposits). Initial deposits may vary from what is stated on our website or initially quoted. The booking party will be notified in advance of any variations. Some final payment amounts are divided into two timely payments, with the first payment considered part of the initial deposit and non-refundable.

No refunds will be provided for any unused portions of a tour, including meals, transportation, lodging, sightseeing, or trekking. This applies even if you leave the trip in progress or due to circumstances beyond our control, such as weather, terrorism, civil strife, personal, family, or medical emergencies. Moroccan Expeditions Travel does not provide insurance for plane tickets, missed flights, or other travel-related arrangements. We strongly recommend purchasing trip cancellation and interruption insurance at the time of booking to cover cancellation charges in certain situations.

Explanation of Cancellation Policy:

When a trip is booked with Moroccan Expeditions Travel, we secure reservations and schedule guides, drivers, and other services on your behalf. Initial deposits and payments help us cover associated fees and are therefore non-refundable. At 60 days or less, we are contractually obligated to pay drivers, guides, hotels, riads, vendors, and other suppliers in full. Our contracts with riads/hotels may have cancellation policies with stricter penalties, especially within the 45-60 day range. Despite a cancelled trip, Moroccan Expeditions Travel remains responsible for costs associated with your trip, including contractual percentages to suppliers, vendors, drivers, guides, staff, and applicable taxes. At 30 days or less, we will have disbursed 100% of the funds for your trip, and no refunds will be possible.

Requests to Make Changes to Booked Tour:

If you wish to make changes to your tour itinerary after it has been confirmed, please notify Moroccan Expeditions Travel in writing as soon as possible. Changes may incur additional charges depending on the type and scope of the requested modification. A typed statement with the date, name, and signature should be sent by email . Changes to tour dates are subject to availability and may result in additional fees or cost differences for re-arranging transport, hotels, and other services. If a change of tour dates cannot be arranged before the start date and is within 60 days of the booked tour, it may be treated according to the cancellation policy. No changes to tour dates can be made within 60 days of the start date. Moroccan Expeditions Travel does not cover any charges due to such changes.
